I was hoping to use WinCron on a pretty secure NT 4.0 (Sp6a) system however, the 'load' button does not seem to bring up the script selection window. There is every chance that something has been disabled on this system and that this is the result. Can anyone tell me what might be causing this so I can re-enable it?

Thanks.

Very odd. Don't think I've ever seen that one before.
Could you post a screen shot here so I can see what the UI looks like when it's unavailable?

Hello!

Not really any point to posting a screen shot as absolutely nothing happens when the button is pressed. The button its self does depress and pop back up but nothing else happens. No error messages are given and all the startup info in the text box is the same as any other machine I've used WinCron on.

The reason I asked for a screen shot is two-fold:

1. I want to verify the application you have is the WinCron from Tomasello Software.
There are at least two other WinCron products from different companies out there and making this determination upfront saves everyone time.

2. When WinCron starts up, it writes a bunch of startup blather to its output window. I want to see the last things WinCron did.

In lieu of a screen shot, please verify that this is the WinCron from Tomasello Software. You'll find this information in the About Box.

Also, could you paste the text from the output window here so I can see your startup sequence.

Other useful bits of information:
1. What version are you running (From About Box)
2. Are you running as a Service (if so, do you see the same problem when you run as an application?)
4. Do you have a wincron.log and or wincron.core in your WinCron directory. Please post them here if you have them.

I don't know what's going on with your WinCron, but collecting this basic information will bolster my confidence that the 'basics' are working properly.
Once we can verify this, we will start looking at possible environmental influences.

I'm impressed with the level of support you are offering here. Keep up the great work! Just to make life easier for you, I have found a few other applications on the system with similar non opening dialog boxes. You may rest at ease. The system is too secure for its own good. It'll have to go. For your records, it it your WinCron and its your latest version and no I was not running it as a service. Love your product but I've been forced to use an alternative solution for now.

Thanks for your help,

Simon
